She opens the bag without questioning or criticising his already large pile. Bibliophiles recognise bibliophiles. "Carefully." There will be, when he puts the first book into the bag, the sound of a few distant thud-thud-thuds as the books knock against...other things in there. Mostly also books.
"Right, the key." Here's a little eyeroll. "Gods forbid we actually explore other venues of investigation. Someone might send an army to help us along if we don't produce it fast."
Because Lan Wangji is paranoid and judgemental.
She looks over her shoulder, searching the aisles for - "Miss Eda was also here, we should join forces."

But he agrees they should join forces to look, and maybe divide tasks.
"Should we each search an ear, or maybe you have other... ideas?"
With a gesture towards the bag.

"What a micromanager." She doesn't offer further explanation than that, but she might as well have called Wangji a Hermione.
"Yes, I think let's spread out and search for it - I have a spell to summon objects, but without the particular object description, it might summon all the keys present in this room." Which would draw attention.

But then, maybe the simplest thing is to start looking in obvious places, desks and drawers, or glass cases that have been spread around to showcases important artifacts. This is clearly important, so either it will be in plain view, or it will be well hidden.

She leaves to search for the key, in that line of thought. Doesn't even take many more books, because she's focused.
Later, she meets him in the middle again, frustrated. "Any luck?"
no subject
They definitely don't have time to go through all the books.
"Are you quite sure your spell won't help?"
no subject
She can't shout for the key to the House of Ravens without drawing some attention, but she could summon keys. And at least that would let them find the key faster.
The exit from this place, however... "If I do this, we'll have no way of putting back whatever objects come at us. It will leave a big mark - and potentially we'd have to run immediately."
no subject
"We'll be found out sooner or later anyway, and I don't think we were planning to clean up after ourselves?"
no subject
"I have an idea of how to make a quick getaway, but I'll have to find Miss Eda first. You - would you be comfortable with letting me Apparate us? It..." Gods, explain Apparition to a non-wizard. She's fairly sure Moran's not entirely untalented himself, but they might as well be speaking different magic languages too.
"It's a spell, it transports people from one spot to another, but the caster has to know where they're going. I could try and do it outside the libraries, and we wouldn't need to sneak past anyone."
no subject
Please allow him a second to gather himself and try to make sense of that. A bit like Five's teleportation, but different he assumes.
"Sure, that's fine. We don't have much of a choice any way."
no subject
"Find a remote-looking aisle, I will find Miss Eda."
no subject
... And of course browse the shelves while waiting. What else is there to do?
